International Symposium on Frontiers of Public Policy Research: Uncertainty, Digitalization, and Public Participation (2026)
In the context of escalating global risks, rapid technological transformation, and increasingly diverse social demands, public policy research is confronting new theoretical questions and practical challenges. On the one hand, uncertainties such as climate change, public health threats, population mobility, urban risks, and geopolitical shifts are rendering policy formulation and implementation increasingly complex. On the other hand, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and data governance tools are fundamentally transforming the policy process, government decision-making, public service delivery, and the interaction between government and citizens. At the same time, the channels, forms, and mechanisms of public participation continue to evolve. Enhancing policy responsiveness, inclusiveness, and public value amid uncertainty and digital transformation has become a significant frontier issue in public policy research.
