转发：2015 International Summer School Programme by IED

Period of Study : 12 July to 28 July 2015
Places for the visit : Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
Programme fees : HK$15,600- with inclusion of Accommodation of three places, ferry and flight to Macau and Taiwan respectively, lectures and field visits of the three places. Entrance tickets and transportation for field visit.

Remarks :

IED will help apply student visa for mainland students with the additional charges of HK$220 (including student visa application (HK$160) and postal /courier expenses (HK$60))

The official deadline for application : 30 April 2015.  We can postpone the deadline to 11 May 2015 for your students if require.

The themes of study :

Two themes of study will be offered for student to pick either one for 2015 ISS. 

1.      Social Science and Policy

2.     Environmental and Sustainable Development

Remarks : The Working Group of 2015 ISS intends to offer two themes, Programme A (Social Science and Policy) and Programme B (Environmental and Sustainable Development) for participants.  However, if no. of participants of the theme can’t reach 25 in total, the Working Group of 2015 ISS may consider appropriate contingency plan, such as combining participants of the two themes for the study.  Participants will be advised on the decision as soon as possible.

Brief programme rundown

Hong Kong programme (12 to 19 July)

12 July : Participants arrive HK

13 to 19 July : Hong Kong

Four lectures will be arranged for whole day's study on 13 and 14 July. Field visits on respective theme of study will be arranged on 15 to 17 July. Participants will have 2 days free time on Sat and Sun (18 and 19 July) for arranging sight visit themselves or some designed study visit in HK on Saturday

Macau programme (20 to 22 July)

Ferry to Macau on 20 July (Monday) to 22 July (Wednesday) for 3 days 2 nights. 

Two lectures and field visits will be arranged

Taiwan programme (22 – 28 July)

Taiwan : Flight to Taiwan on 22 July night

Four lectures will be arranged and followed by 2 days field visits. Students will have a free day at Taiwan for sight-seeing
Remarks : The group will come back to Hong Kong airport at around noon of 28 July and complete the 2015 ISS.  Participants can arrange transportation back to Mainland at around 4pm on the same day.
